Service Objectives

  • Learn ways to handle partner conflicts non-violently and improve intimate relationship
  • Help children witnessing or being exposed to intimate partner violence and victims of intimate partner violence enhance their life skills in addressing unfavourable circumstances
  • Heighten public awareness on intimate partner violence and dating violence

 

Service Targets

  • Those who have conflicts or even violence with their intimate partners/dating partners, and want to learn a better way to relate and improve the relationship
  • Children who have witnessed or been exposed to intimate partner violence and victims of intimate partner violence
  • General public with interest in knowing more about intimate partner violence and dating violence
  • Regardless of gender, language, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identification

Service Contents

  • 6 hours Educational Programme on Stopping Domestic Violence to help people using violence/potentially in use of violence have reflection on partner conflicts and violence, learn managing emotions and conflicts, and improve communication with partners. 18-hour Enriched Programme by 3 modules are recommended after completing the basic course.
  • 4 hours Child and Youth Educational Programme(Introduction on Stand By Kids / Pamphlet) to help children witnessing or being exposed to intimate partner violence enhance abilities and skills in emotional management and problem solving. 4-hour Enriched Programme is recommended after completing the basic course.
  • Educational/supportive family programme to enhance family relationship and cohesion
  • Interpretation service and referral to other welfare service will be arranged when needed
